Gordon Timber

Secondary Processing

Having carried out a significant re-investment programme for secondary processing, Gordon Timber is well placed to add value to the off-saw timber being produced in the primary process.

For fencing products, timber can be kiln dried, crosscut, resawn and pointed prior to pressure treatment.

Products destined for the construction market will typically be kiln dried in the company’s new biomass fired kilning facility, before being strength graded and machined to a final dimension in the semi automatic planing line.

The new kilns also provide welcome capacity for the growing heat treated pallet and packaging market.
