New Office Officially Opens

28 June 2017

Gordon Timber celebrated our new office facility with an official opening ceremony on Friday 23rd June 2017 in Nairn. The construction of the new building was carried out using timber from our very own Sawmill, showcasing the quality of locally grown softwood. The new office building is situated looking over the log yard, displaying the initial stages of our production process, and positioned centrally on the site, making it an ideal location for all members of staff and visitors. In a statement on the build, Gordon Timber Joint Managing Director, Scott Gordon said:

“The new building has enabled us to gather all office based staff in one modern facility, creating a positive environment to work in. The completion of the new building is consistent with our drive to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of the company’s operations”.

As part of the opening ceremony, Robert Carrick of CMM Architects, who designed the building, cut the ribbon officially opening the facility. Chairman, Ronald D Gordon planted a tree outside the office to commemorate the opening.

As part of the event we exhibited our range of products, along with some of our state of the art sawmilling facilities to guests attending the event. Having just released a new 15 Year performance warranty for our PREMIUM Round Fencing, it was a great opportunity for guests to see our cutting edge production line.

Commenting on the event, Ronald Gordon, Joint Managing Director said: “Our new state of the art office facility is something we, at Gordon Timber, are really proud of. It underlines to our employees, our customers and our suppliers that we are committed to remaining a major player in the British sawmilling industry”
