Investors in People Accreditation To Reach 25 Year Milestone

27 March 2017

John Gordon and Son Ltd are proud to have maintained the prestigious Investors in People Accreditation, the most successful framework for business improvement through people in the UK. The award which is accredited until 2020 will see the company successfully retain the status for 25 consecutive years.  This represents a true commitment to employees and demonstrates a solid foundation of good practise which remains challenging and aspirational for many organisations.

We maintain our place in an exclusive group of UK employers eligible to use and display the sought after Investors in People Logo and plaque, and enjoy its benefits.

Commenting on the award, Ronald M Gordon, Joint Managing Director said "John Gordon and Son are proud to have been the first saw millers in the United Kingdom to achieve the Investors in People standard in 1995. In the twenty two years since then, we have continued to Invest in our People and recognise them as our greatest asset."

Peter Russian, Chief Executive of Investors in People Scotland, said "This is a fantastic achievement for John Gordon and Son. I would like to congratulate the organisation and its people on their commitment to continuous improvement. Investors in people offers a flexible, practical and easy to use business improvement tool designed to help organisations and their people achieve their objectives. I hope that more organisations in the area will be encouraged to sharpen their competitive edge by choosing to work with us".
